Interested in learning what it’s like to row at Colorado’s top rowing club?  Mile High Rowing Club (MHRC) is hosting two upcoming sessions of a summer Learn to Row Camp. This is an entry-level program for middle and high school aged youth who are interested in rowing with the MHRC competitive team.

The next camp will be held July 18-22, and the last camp of the season will run August 8-12 at Cherry Creek State Park.  The camp, for boys and girls, ages 13 to 18, will run Monday through Friday from 8-10:30 a.m. No experience is necessary, but campers need to know how to swim, be able to lift a 25-pound weight over their heads, and be at least 5’3” tall.

The rowers will learn boat handling skills along with an introduction to sweep and sculling, as well as boating and rowing safety.  Rowers are expected to attend all days of the camp.

MHRC is a non-profit youth rowing team operating on the waters of Cherry Creek Reservoir.  Our mission is to provide a healthy experience and atmosphere where student athletes can experience all the benefits that rowing has to offer.  Our rowing programs are designed to bring out the best in each of our rowers in a fun yet competitive environment.
